Favorable Underwater Hunting
Tides & Currents 2005

This list is the product of an advanced analysis of the 2005 tide cycles and in the authors opinion should produce favorably low currents for underwater hunting in local southern California waters.

Sense underwater hunters only have access to the upper water column (0-100') in depth, it's critical to hunt when fish are close to the surface to be successful. For this reason the author believes that low currents are most favorable when underwater hunting for game fish.

The below list is a compilation of each month’s best tides for 2005 which should produce the least amount of currents in a static environment. Of course the location and associated local weather condition can and most likely will have a strong influence on water flow intensity and currents. Given these constantly changing variables it is impossible to accurately predict currents this far in advance.

This list is not a scientific study and should only be used as an indicator to determine what the general currents are likely to be on the given dates. This list represents only my opinion regarding currents and is not intended to be a substitute for scientific data or any other data on this subject. The author believes this information to be accurate to the best of his knowledge.

HOW TO USE THIS LIST:
I suggest you take a look at these favorable tide/current days in advance, compare them with weekends and any other days you may be able to go hunting or fishing. Once you have correlated the listed days with days you can go fishing start to watch the water conditions and local weather patterns as the days approach. If all the factors come together you should have identified the highest percentage chance for underwater hunting or fishing success.

Please remember! You owe it to yourself and the fish you hunt to use only the most appropriate equipment for the game you are hunting. You should make constant adjustments to maximize your success and minimize lost and mutilated fish. You must make sure that the fewest fish possible die in vain as a result of mistakes.
